Now a WIFE ! 
We were ‘paper’ married yesterday at City Hall under the watchful eye of several of our lovely friends. It was a nice preview to the nuptials-to-come ..
Also LOVED our judge .. once we all got past her comments on how not-young we are. I could really get a sense of how seriously she took the politics of it ..
Plus, my wife looked HOT ! ..

That was a stretch. I’m extremely tired this morning.
In wedding plannage … the invitations are getting ready to be on their way. They are hand-crafted and quite lovely things.
Next week, we meet the DJ and attempt to discuss the happy medium between Pop Country (her taste) and Everything-Else-but-Classical-EMO-Acoustic-NotWithStanding (mine). Although, I’m pretty happy with my walk down the aisle selections, one friend of mine had some polite suggestions as to why I might choose something else. I’m still thinking that through .. Thinking maybe about taking a poll.
That reminds me of the olden-days of my blog. I had POLLS ! Yeesh. Geeky. Maybe I should do that again.
Ah nuts. Back to Work.

Was getting way too sunny around here, so I picked a different theme. I’ve forgotten how much I like the Dark Side.
I’m extremely happy to have a long weekend. Work is becoming slightly irritating .. but we did have a demo for the Big Cheese that went fairly well. Unfortunately, it was a little traumatic for my manager and thus trickled down into trauma for me. Ah well .. it’s all okay for now.

My big boy is no more. It was a very sad week .. but it was his time. The Scoot and I took him to vet and we sent him on his way. She was very sad .. as was I when we said our final goodbyes. Then we went home and she put together a beautiful little box of Willie artifacts and drew a very cool picture . Later, she drew another picture of Willie’s energy. And hers. She is the coolest ten year old who ever lived.
Right now, she’s standing in front of me re-enacting the morning radio show from the Wolf, a country music station .. calls, commercials, Taylor Swift and everything … “No .. Talk .. Triple Play .. ON THE WOLF !!” I’m loving the traffic reports .. “on the 480 … metering lights are on … “.
So, in my opinion, the best possible tribute to the Willster is to discuss some his finer moments and tell some stories .. They’ll be more to come .. but I’d thought I’d share these two little photos.
So .. the reason for this in my opinion did not merit such a large annoyed reaction. Really, I think it was the polo-style shirt that bothered him so much.
And this one .. well .. it really needs no explanation. The startled looking one is Fuzzy Clare.
I miss him. He was a fantastic cat.

California Supreme Court Denies Rehearing and Stay in Marriage Cases
Decision to become final on June 16 at 5:00 p.m.
San Francisco—The California Supreme Court today filed an order in the Marriage Cases (S147999; decision filed May 15, 2008), denying requests to stay its decision until after the November 2008 election and denying petitions for rehearing.
The rehearing petitions were denied by a 4-3 vote. Chief Justice Ronald George, and Justices Joyce Kennard, Kathryn Werdegar, and Carlos Moreno voted to deny rehearing. Justices Marvin Baxter, Ming Chin, and Carol Corrigan would have granted rehearing.
The order further specified that the decision of the court filed on May 15, 2008, will become final on June 16, 2008, at 5 p.m.

Sunday was my 1st anniversary. A year ago, May 25th, my girl drove me up to Bolinas, in search of some kind of vegetarian gourmet restaurant — and watched me go all green and sick as we got more and more lost. It’s windy up those mountains and I have paper-thin resistance to all things motion. Stupid Bolinas and their moving of street signs.
As soon as the car stopped moving and we were looking at each other across the table of a very nice Stinson Beach diner .. all vestiges of sickness were replaced by a .. ‘gosh-i-like-you-you’re-so-cute’ vibe. After dinner, we walked around and found a nice park bench to sit on. She told me I had to make the “first” move .. “really, really soon”, and when I kissed her, I think I hit her in the teeth a little bit. I was nervous. I hadn’t had a first kiss in 11 years or so. It was cute .. and now she makes me feel even more disturbingly goopified.
